Are you excited to enjoy quality jazz music with the lush Ubud landscape as a backdrop?

The Story Behind Ubud Village Jazz Festival

The journey of the Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVJF) began in 2012 from the partnership of Yuri Mahatma, a talented musician, and Anom Darsana, the owner of ANTIDA Music Productions. The experience of both became clear after several jazz concert collaborations, which showcased the many facets of jazz music and soon became a celebrated event in the local community.

The festival took off in 2013, gaining international recognition and attracting visitors and talents from around the world. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy recognises it as one of the Top 10 national-scale events for bringing Balinese culture and the magic of jazz music to the lush landscape of Ubud.

Hi everyone! My name is Catur, and I was born and raised in Central Java. I moved to Bali in 2011 but left the island in 2016 before returning in 2018. Bali feels more than a home to me, and maybe that’s why my name feels like a premonition. Catur means four, both in the Balinese and Javanese languages. It is spoken like ‘c’ in chess, which is also the meaning of my name in Indonesian.
