1. ATV Ride Ubud Balaji Bali

If your accommodation is in Ubud, you’re already close! This Bali quad bike adventure is just 30 minutes from Ubud. However, it’s away from the airport, so you should not head to the Balaji Adventure Park directly after getting off your flight. This is located at Gianyar Regency, far from the city but the closest you can get to a Bali ATV ride that lets you see the very best of Bali’s natural surroundings.

What makes this place a real winner for me is the location. When I made my reservation and arrived, I was refreshed by the change of scenery as the guide led us to rivers and villages along the route. It was my first time then, so I was glad that the course was very easy, so I could enjoy the countryside view instead of keeping myself on the ATV.

But if quad biking is too much for you, don’t worry! You can just walk or bike through the hills and enjoy the site and sights. If you have a few free days during your vacation, you can also enjoy other amazing experiences, like hiking, mountain biking, and water rafting.

2. Bayad Tunnel and Waterfall by Kuber Bali

The Bali ATV Tunnel and Waterfall by Kuber Bali is a tour that allows you to ride ATVs through tunnels and seek out the stunning waterfalls and blue lagoon locations that characterise the Bali bamboo forest.

This tour will launch from the village of Bayad, which is situated 30 minutes away from the centre of Ubud, towards Kintamani. This is the first accessible landscape in the area where you can get a four-wheeler Quad bike for off-road riding. The Bayad Village helps and supports this provider with its seven kilometres long track, and the most exhilarating parts are inside a tunnel and next to a waterfall.

Travelers start at the Bayad Village. And for the duration of the trip, you’ll see culture and destinations that the average tourist doesn’t know about. This Bali ATV tour passes by Peliatan and its traditional stilt houses and goes through rocky terrain until reaching a stopover where you can buy snacks or souvenirs. Then, you keep on going until you get your reward: the best view of the river and the waterfalls.

I’m sure that when you look up information about Bali, all you see are beaches and cliffs. There are plenty of attractions on the island. But if you want some adventure the average tourist doesn’t know about, head out to the Tegal Mengkeb Village. They offer an ATV ride that starts on a volcanic beach covered in black sand. If you’re looking for something unique to show you a different side of Indonesia, you shouldn’t miss this tour! Make sure to tell your experienced instructor to stop from time to time. This should allow you to whip out your phone to take pictures of the scenery. But if you’re not confident about your ATV skills even after the safety briefing, you can hire a driver to guide you through off-roading. But if you’re part of a group, you can go for a couple of ATV rides so you can ride with someone with more experience.

But beyond the beach, this ATV trip will also take you to villages, rice paddies, and even a rice plantation. I know the course is great, but make sure to always pay attention to the road while four-wheeling.

The average price for an ATV in Bali

Expert Opinion

I have been living in Bali for 10 years. I love the adventurous part of Bali. This island allows you to explore the beauty of its nature in so many ways. One of them is ATV riding!

It never came to my mind that someday I would try this activity, but I did! It was the most thrilling and fun experience at the same time. You can have fun with nature as an adult and feel like a little kid. Being in the mud and water splash when riding an ATV is something that will remain with you as a good memory!

They provide lunch packages and resting areas. The long track will take two hours and you will need a break in between. It was intense riding and you need to focus as well!

Nevertheless, the views and the freedom you have during the ride represent the value of this type of adventure. If you have an adventurous agenda in your travelling itinerary, this is worth exploring and experiencing! It will satisfy your craving for exploration.
