Bali International Choir Festival – July 29 to August 2, 2025

The Bali International Choir Festival brings together over 100 choirs from around the world, from high school groups and university ensembles to professional vocalists. The performances are spread out across Denpasar and nearby venues, covering everything from gospel and pop to classical, contemporary, and traditional songs. What makes this unique is the blend of international styles with Bali’s own cultural touches — including collaborations with gamelan and local artists. Hear me out; some of the performances can seriously give you goosebumps!

Aside from competitions, there are workshops, group singing sessions, and community performances in public spaces — sometimes even in malls or temples. Even if you’re not really into choir music, it’s hard not to enjoy the energy. There’s something cool about seeing people from totally different cultures singing together in the middle of Denpasar. Plus, it’s a nice excuse to check out venues you wouldn’t normally visit while you're here.
