Galungan and Kuningan 2025: Celebrating Good Over Evil in Bali

This is a major Hindu holiday in Bali, celebrating the victory of Dharma (the good) over Adharma (the evil). You'll see the streets of Bali lined with tall, decorative bamboo poles that symbolize victory and prosperity. The whole atmosphere is more sacred but also filled with a sense of family togetherness. Usually, Balinese people are busy praying, cooking lawar and babi guling (a Balinese food staple during Galungan), and of course sharing food with relatives. If you have Balinese friends, expect to be invited to eat a big meal together!
