While some places have Valentine's Day, Bali has Omed-Omedan! This unique tradition is performed the day after Nyepi by the youth of Banjar Kaja, Denpasar. In this event, participants will be pulled forward to kiss (yes, literally get kissed in front of the crowd!). At the same time, local villagers splash them with water to make it even more intense. Although it may seem romantic, it's actually more of a symbol of togetherness and good luck. So, if you intend to find a soul mate, well... who knows? But remember, this is a tradition, not speed dating.
