The Crumb & Coaster has been a staple breakfast destination in Kuta for a while now and is probably among the best breakfast spots in Bali. Nestled close to the small alleys of poppies and just a short walk from the beach, the Crumb & Coaster is one of the cafés in Bali that you should try at least once when you come to the island.

The menu at the Crumb & Coaster consists of mouthwatering choices that go well with your morning or afternoon meals. Indulge in their heavenly selection of freshly baked pastries, croissants, a butter-flavoured muffin, cereal breakfast with fruit or syrup, fresh salads, or smoothie bowls. Don’t forget to order their cappuccino or black coffee to accompany your meals.

Flapjacks first appeared in Bali in 2009. The restaurant is located right across the street from Kuta Beach and has become a family favourite. All you need is to step inside to know you’ve found a gem. Benih Café is precisely that, even though it is located in one of the busiest alleys in Kuta.

They may not be located right on the beach, but coming here is worth your time, especially if you have pets as Dear Lucy is one of the few pet-friendly cafés in Kuta.

Dear Lucy offers an array of dishes, from Indonesian favourites like fried rice and chicken noodles to Malaysian laksa and tom yum. But their drinks selection, especially the coffee menus, will leave you wanting more. The café boasts wine, coffee latte, and V60, as well as ceremonial tea and Uji-matcha, which will create a lasting impression in every sip you take.

Coffee Cartel started out as a place where people could communicate over a cup of high-quality coffee – an Australian coffee blend, to be precise. So, if coffee runs in your veins, add this spot to your list. This stylish café is a magnet for anyone who is looking for a café serving a great breakfast. No introduction is needed for this well-known spot in Kuta. Hard Rock Café may as well be as iconic as Kuta Beach because, for nearly 30 years, this popular café, adorned with a large guitar-shaped sign, has been providing delicious meals for music enthusiasts since its inception.

Hard Rock Café is famous for its American-style burgers, yet it also offers other items on the menu that make this bar and restaurant chain an iconic establishment in Bali. Their buffalo-style sliders, chicken wings, and New York Strip Steak will fill your stomach with deliciousness.

Combining a café and restaurant ambience, Dijon has become quite a legendary name in the list of restaurants in Bali.

Among many food and drink options on their menu, my favourite is Nasi Goreng Kambing, which combines famous Indonesian fried rice with a Middle Eastern touch. But you can also order from their breakfast menu, such as Dave’s Big Breakfast, Acai Bowl, or Eggs Florentine. They also serve decaf coffee, fruit juices, and Dijon special menus that you need to try.

Elephant in The Room – what a place to squeeze in! This café has become the place for regulars to take their orders for takeaways instead of enjoying their coffee on-site. Since the nearby options don’t have the pop-up-ness of Elephant in The Room, this factor alone is enough reason to visit this little café.

In addition to its coffee selection, this café also has non-coffee menu items like tea, iced-flavoured lattes, and fresh fruit slushies, which you don’t find that often, even in the established cafés and restaurants in Canggu. You can also opt to have your coffee served with oat milk if you’re vegan or lactose-intolerant. Not every coffee shop has to have food on its menu, especially if it serves great coffee like Elephant in The Room.

Looking from the outside, The Dusty Café resembles a factory building. Yet, if you step inside, its industrialist design radiates a warm atmosphere where you can sit for hours while catching up with friends. This beautiful café serves a blend of coffee and food that will make you crave more and is one of the best places to have your morning meal.

The Dusty Café offers all-day breakfast and brunch menus, as well as lunch and dinner. Start your day with a Biggy Brekky, Dragon Bowl, or Bubble Waffle here, along with their Dusty Coffee specialties. Less than a five-minute walk from the famous Kuta Beach is this little gem with a green neon sign as its marquee. Nestled alongside stores on the busy street of Bakung Sari, The Bare Bottle will instantly grab your attention with its unique name and an unusual location for a café.

Their Bare Coffee, Flavoured Latte, and Signature Bare Bottle are designed to pick up your morning, and you can choose whether to have almond milk or skimmed milk as an addition. You can order their scrambled eggs or fluffy pancakes for your big breakfast. They also have a selection of brunch vegan menus and fruit juices to accommodate the growing numbers of conscious customers.

Dripz Coffee looks modest from the outside, but do not let its appearance fool you. Once you walk inside, the smell of coffee will spoil your nostrils, and all you have to do is order and then choose your table, which can be outside or inside.
