Full description

Experience the epic sunrise from the summit of Mount Batur. After picking you up from Canggu/Seminyak/Sanur/Ubud/Kuta, we will drive to Kintamani before reaching the base of Mount Batur. With our experienced local guide, you will trek through the jungle and see the Kintamani village from above. The trek is quite flat with occasional hike, and we usually reach the summit in about two hours. The guide will prepare a hot and light breakfast once we’re at the top, where you can enjoy it with the scenic views of Mount Batur, Mount Agung, and Lake Batur. The descend starts around 7 AM, and once we get to the base, you can visit the coffee plantations after (optional) or return to the hotel.

5:30 AM	Reach the top of Mount Batur
6 AM	Walk around the whole crater
6.15 AM	Hot and light breakfast (boiled eggs, banana sandwich, fruit, and hot tea or coffee)
7 AM	Begin the descent
8:30 AM	Arrive back at Toyabungkah village and board the car
9:30 AM	Visit a Balinese coffee plantation (optional)
11:00 AM	Return to your hotel

We booked directly with OnBali and the whole process was seamless. Our driver messaged us on WhatsApp the night before to confirm the exact pickup time, which made us feel very secure. The trek itself took about two hours, moderately steep in some places but totally doable if you take short breaks. Our guide shared stories about the volcano and even helped set up photos. Watching the sun rise above the clouds while sipping hot coffee was unforgettable. The crater walk after sunrise was an extra bonus – not all companies include this!

Great experience overall! The organization was smooth and our guide was friendly and encouraging. The only thing I’d mention: it’s quite cold and windy at the top, so bring gloves if you feel the cold easily. Apart from that, everything was perfect – from the sunrise views to the simple but tasty breakfast. I also appreciated that the groups were small; it felt more personal than the huge groups I saw with other operators.

Really nice trek 👏👏 Pickup was on time and well organized, and they met us exactly at the meeting point as agreed. The hike didn’t take too long, but along the way we saw beautiful scenery and just pure nature. It was a bit cold at the top, but it was totally worth doing this tour with OnBali 👌

Great hike and views! The trail was not too hard, and the guide kept a good pace. From the top we could see the lake, mountains, and the ocean just like they promised. There were some other people at the top, but it was still amazing.
