Gili Meno Restaurants Rating 2025: Best Places to Eat on the Island
A candlelight dinner by the beach should become the default when dining in restaurants in Gili Meno. The island’s quiet nature may not boast the Michelin-level restaurants, but don’t misjudge Gili Meno’s size with limited flavors. Once you’ve checked all the things to do in the Gili Islands, having comforting food and the freshest seafood may be all you need. And that’s why I’m bringing you some of the best restaurants in Gili Meno for the coziest flavors on the smallest of the three Gili Islands.

Top Restaurants in Gili Meno
1. Adeng-Adeng Beach Restaurant and Bar
Simplest is sometimes the best, and that’s the case with Adeng-Adeng Beach Restaurant and Bar. The unfussy bamboo structure with thatched roofs and tables set on the sand brings comfort, just like their food. One bite of the Beef Rendang (which is the boss’s favorite, by the way) or one slice of the Greek Pizza, and without you knowing it, your plate is empty.

Adeng-Adeng also plays a lot of 80s songs, with live music happening every night. But it’s the service that becomes the highlight. You can ask how long the food will take to prepare, and they will give an estimate. They also have sunbeds, but since they don’t come with an umbrella, it’s better to arrive in the late afternoon, a perfect time for the sunset.

2. Ya Ya Warung
Don’t judge Ya Ya Warung from the structure, but from the crowd. The place has rarely seen an empty table! Even the simple Chicken Nasi Goreng and a glass of Iced Lemon Tea, tastes heavenly, as they are situated very close to the water. I’ll suggest picking the gazebo, so whenever you feel like jumping into the clear water to swim, you’ll always have shade to rest after.

The lunch hour can get extremely busy with the snorkeling tour group stopping for a break, and chances are, your food will arrive late. Instead, come for breakfast after watching the sunrise and enjoy the fresh watermelon juice and chicken omelette to start your day with a bang.

3. Toofeys | Beach Lounge & Restaurant
Toofeys will blend seamlessly with the aesthetics of the best cafes in Bali. The cozy sofas and beanbags, with a few hanging lamps and bamboo ceilings, are right on the edge of the beach. Bury your toes deep in the sand as you take a spoonful of Meno Poke Bowl or the juiciest patty from their Beef Burger. The Lamb Rendang (instead of beef) will knock your socks off with its aromatic spices and tender meat.

Price-wise, Toofeys may be on the pricier side for restaurants in Gili Meno. But you get one of the best foods on the island, a stunning sunset view over Mount Agung, and the chic-boho décor a la chic cafes in Canggu. And nothing says a beach holiday like having a glass or two of Limoncello Spritz by the beachfront, right?

4. Bubbles Bar & Restaurant
Playful, but make it tropical, and you have Bubbles. Check whether it’s a Coconut Dry or a Coconut Moving day before you pick the sunbeds, beanbags, or chairs. No wonder your Eggplant Burrito or No Tuna – No Cry Sushi tastes so much better, especially if you have it over the golden hour, as Bubbles has one of the best spots for sunset!

Bubbles has the most variety of vegan and vegetarian options among other restaurants in Gili Meno. The Brekkie Burrito with turmeric-infused scrambled eggs is a game-changer for your breakfast. Have it with the freshest brew of Double Espresso, and trust me, you won’t need another pick-me-up meal in Gili Meno afterwards.

5. Le' Batavia
Le’ Batavia may not have a beach view, but once you try the Spring Roll, I bet you’ll come back for a second time. Tucked in the dead-end street, Le’ Batavia is all about Indonesian comfort food done exceptionally right. The smoky Nasi Gila or the sweet and sour Fuyung Hai is beyond delicious, but the portion is worth every penny!

The restaurant is small, but Le’ Batavia feels like a cozy little nook in Gili Meno. There are books you can pick up to read or board games for a fun dinner intermezzo. If Nasi Goreng is too much, then the Stuffed Tofu (please eat it with a raw chili for a full-blown Indonesian way) will cement Le’ Batavia as one of the best Indonesian restaurants in Gili Meno.

6. Diana Cafe
There’s no such thing as bad seats at Diana Café. Treat yourself to a Ketapang Joget (the blend of vodka, lemon, and honey is highly refreshing and kicking!) for a pre-sunset drink and Fried Tempe as a snack, your sundowner is off to a great start. Pick the Fish Soup or Satay, and you’ll officially have the smokiest dinner with the most gorgeous view.

Beyond the sunset, it is the service that sets Diana Café apart. The staff will bring you mosquito repellent as the night falls. So there’s no need to worry about the bugs when you taste the scrumptious Mixed Vegetable with Rice for dinner.

7. New Sasak Cafe
The New Sasak Café brings more than just a view and a swing. Once the dark settles, having your Stupid Chicken Breast (nothing stupid about the taste, trust me) with the live music from local musicians brings the right beat to your dinner. Or feel and taste the heat when you bite the freshly grilled calamari while the fire show is happening.

The rustic yet humble décor doesn’t represent the burst of flavors in Ginger Chicken Mushroom. Whether you sit under the canopy or choose the table close to the water, don’t skip the Grilled Banana as your dessert. It tastes as sweet as the view of sunset.

8. Tip of the Tongue Warung
Saying Tip of the Tongue Warung as a hidden gem is an understatement. Yes, it’s off the tourist hotspot, but the Nasi Goreng or Urap-Urap hits the right balance of crunch, savory, and smokiness. And if you’re in a seafood mood, you can pick the squid, fish, or prawn dish from the menu. The Pelalah Ikan and Cumi Masak Pedas will deliver the hot and spicy on your plates.

Tip of the Tongue Warung may not have the beachfront privilege. But the non-beachy setting, with its blend of home-cooked meals and friendly service, trumps the sunset or beach view. And each food costs you less than US$ 5!

9. Malfina Beach Bar & Resto
Snorkeling and sunset? Say no more. Malfina Beach Bar and Resto brings more than just Seafood Fried Rice or the spicy Plecing Kangkung. They also rent snorkeling gear, and it’s the perfect spot for your daily dose of Gili sunset. Imagine having the Malfina (it’s their signature cocktail) after seeing the turtles, and then close your day watching the sun go down? Perfection!

While sipping your second glass of Blue Meno, let the reggae music sway your head. But once the evening falls, the downtempo beats from the live band and fire show will light up your dinner. The colorful and fluorescent lights add a bit of a funky vibe, making Malfina Beach Bar and Resto a place you cannot resist.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Gili Meno focuses more on the quality of the food and the intimate setting, rather than the variety of the cuisine. You’ll find more family-run warungs and restaurants by the beach, serving authentic Indonesian food, compared to extensive selections in Gili Trawangan or Gili Air.
