Gili Meno Restaurants Rating 2025: Best Places to Eat on the Island

They also have sunbeds, but since they don’t come with an umbrella, it’s better to arrive in the late afternoon, a perfect time for the sunset.

Don’t judge Ya Ya Warung from the structure, but from the crowd. The place has rarely seen an empty table! Even the simple Chicken Nasi Goreng and a glass of Iced Lemon Tea, tastes heavenly, as they are situated very close to the water. I’ll suggest picking the gazebo, so whenever you feel like jumping into the clear water to swim, you’ll always have shade to rest after.

Bubbles has the most variety of vegan and vegetarian options among other restaurants in Gili Meno. The Brekkie Burrito with turmeric-infused scrambled eggs is a game-changer for your breakfast. Have it with the freshest brew of Double Espresso, and trust me, you won’t need another pick-me-up meal in Gili Meno afterwards.

Le’ Batavia may not have a beach view, but once you try the Spring Roll, I bet you’ll come back for a second time. Tucked in the dead-end street, Le’ Batavia is all about Indonesian comfort food done exceptionally right. The smoky Nasi Gila or the sweet and sour Fuyung Hai is beyond delicious, but the portion is worth every penny!

The restaurant is small, but Le’ Batavia feels like a cozy little nook in Gili Meno. There are books you can pick up to read or board games for a fun dinner intermezzo. If Nasi Goreng is too much, then the Stuffed Tofu (please eat it with a raw chili for a full-blown Indonesian way) will cement Le’ Batavia as one of the best Indonesian restaurants in Gili Meno.

There’s no such thing as bad seats at Diana Café. Treat yourself to a Ketapang Joget (the blend of vodka, lemon, and honey is highly refreshing and kicking!) for a pre-sunset drink and Fried Tempe as a snack, your sundowner is off to a great start. The rustic yet humble décor doesn’t represent the burst of flavors in Ginger Chicken Mushroom. Whether you sit under the canopy or choose the table close to the water, don’t skip the Grilled Banana as your dessert. It tastes as sweet as the view of sunset.

Saying Tip of the Tongue Warung as a hidden gem is an understatement. Yes, it’s off the tourist hotspot, but the Nasi Goreng or Urap-Urap hits the right balance of crunch, savory, and smokiness. And if you’re in a seafood mood, you can pick the squid, fish, or prawn dish from the menu. The Pelalah Ikan and Cumi Masak Pedas will deliver the hot and spicy on your plates.

Tip of the Tongue Warung may not have the beachfront privilege. But the non-beachy setting, with its blend of home-cooked meals and friendly service, trumps the sunset or beach view. And each food costs you less than US$ 5!
