One of the best places for dinner in Bali! Everything about this place was amazing, the food, the atmosphere, the service, and especially the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and has such a great atmosphere for dinner. Everything felt well thought out and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely one of the places I would happily come back to whenever I’m in Bali. Highly recommended! ❤️

It\'s best to book a table in advance. It\'s packed in the evenings. Someone\'s smoking, and the smoke hits your face. The food is delicious, though, and the food is prepared quickly. I had tuna tartare on gluten-free bread.

This was my second time visiting Shelter. During my first visit, I really enjoyed dinner with my friend, so I decided to bring my girlfriend here for what I hoped would be another great dining experience. We initially came as walk-ins and were given a nice table inside. However, about 20 minutes later, two parties were seated on either side of us. The guests at those tables knew each other and kept talking across our table, which made it quite uncomfortable and annoying, especially as we were trying to enjoy our dinner and have a conversation. I tried to politely explain to them that perhaps they could move to one table to continue their conversation, or that we could move to one of their tables so they could sit together. At first, they didn\'t really understand what we meant. The manager noticed the situation, came over, apologized to us, and explained the situation to the other guests. Eventually, we moved to one of their tables, while those guests sat together at our original table. Although the manager handled the situation and tried to help, having to change tables midway through our dinner affected the experience, especially for my girlfriend, who was understandably unhappy about having to move while we were dining. Unfortunately, things became more disappointing when we were having our food. The waiter came over, set up the dessert plates and cutlery, and removed my plate while my girlfriend was still eating. He also mentioned that the other table had ordered dessert for us, but without explaining the context behind it. The way this was handled made my girlfriend feel as though she was being rushed to finish her food. Setting up the dessert cutlery while she was still eating, along with removing my plate, made the timing feel inappropriate. The lack of explanation about the dessert also made the situation feel uncomfortable. Thankfully, the manager noticed that my girlfriend and I were not happy and came over to speak with us again. She apologized and explained that the other table had ordered dessert for us as an apology for the inconvenience caused by the table arrangement. This explanation helped us understand the situation much better, and I appreciate the manager taking the time to address our concerns and make an effort to resolve things. We still decided to give four stars because of the manager\'s actions. She showed awareness, took the initiative to step in, and tried to make things right on both occasions. Her approach made a difference in an otherwise disappointing dinner experience. We will definitely consider coming back to Shelter again. However, next time, we will make sure to request a table that is not positioned between two parties who know each other and, if possible, request a different waiter from the one who served us during this visit
