Takumi

We celebrated our anniversary at Takumi Bali and the food was exceptional. The service was on another level as well. The food was fresh with great flavours and we wanted to eat all the food on offer. The chef even made the effort to meet us and discuss his menu and restaurant,. Going back again in 2027 for our anniversary to try the other food on the menu. Highly recommend.

I discovered the Takumi restaurant 2 years ago during my first trip to Bali. After 3 memorable moments, I decided to come back this year once landing to Bali again. After a first dinner « à la carte », I decided to try the Omakase menu. This experience was even better than all the previous ones: incredible flavors and mixes of sensations, the privilege to have the Chef Daijiro Horikoshi cooking himself for us at the sushi bar and a service at the top thanks to a wonderful team. A wonderful restaurant I strongly recommend and I would love to have in my own country! Attached the pictures of the menu and the meals in the right sequence.

What a fantastic discovery. From the busy street outside, you step through what feels like a hidden fairytale entrance and are immediately transported into a completely different world. It is beautifully done and sets the tone for the entire evening. Before dinner, we were taken upstairs to the very cool bar, where an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate host guided us through a wonderful sake tasting. Not only were the sakes excellent, but the whole experience was relaxed, entertaining and genuinely interesting - exactly how a tasting should be. We then headed downstairs for dinner, where the food absolutely lived up to the build-up. Beautifully presented, refined Japanese dishes, full of flavour and clearly prepared with enormous attention to detail. Dish after dish surprised us. It is one of those restaurants where the entire journey works: the hidden entrance, the atmosphere, the sake experience, the service and, most importantly, the food. An absolute must-try if you are ever in the Seminyak / Umalas / Kerobokan area. We would return without hesitation.

We had a meeting with the team and experienced the Set Lunch Bento, and we were blown away! From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was served in one bento, which was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was super fresh and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the seating area provided the perfect atmosphere to relax. We also had a look upstairs, where they have a beautifully designed bar. I will definitely come back to experience the bar next time.
