Milk & Madu Berawa

Milk & Madu has been a go-to breakfast and brunch spot in Bali for over ten years, starting with its Berawa location and expanding to Ubud and Batu Bolong, with a new branch opening soon in Uluwatu. Despite the growing café scene, we still think Milk & Madu remains one of the best cafés in Bali.

What stood out for us was the open space and high ceilings—no matter how hot it is outside, stepping into Milk & Madu feels like an instant cool-down. The vibe here is just as lively as ever, filled with the buzz of conversations, laughter, and great energy.

We couldn’t get enough of the house Sangria and the Atlantic breakfast—it’s enough to keep us coming back. Add in live music four times a week and plenty of great promos, and it’s clear why Milk & Madu is still a top choice for breakfast and brunch in Canggu.

Reservations

Coming to Milk & Madu, you probably don’t need to make any prior booking, as many of the guests are walk-ins. However, you can send messages to WhatsApp if you have any other questions regarding the place or if you have a specific request that needs to be addressed in advance.

Kids-Friendly Café

There are only a handful of kids-friendly cafés in Canggu, but Milk & Madu has a dedicated mini playground for kids on one side of the establishment. If you come here with your little ones, they can play to their hearts' content while you enjoy the delicious food. A win-win solution!

First Impression

A cool breeze will welcome you once you step inside Milk & Madu, where you can enjoy an open space and semi-outdoor seating. Milk & Madu looks spacious, and there are different seating areas you can choose from, whether in the middle or the back of the café. The wooden ceilings and the high roof certainly help to maintain the cool air circulation inside. You won’t feel stuffed at Milk & Madu, even on the hottest day in Bali.

Why do we choose Milk & Madu Berawa?

Ten years is long enough for Milk & Madu to establish itself as one of the best breakfast spots in Canggu. Though the building is new after the previous site was burned down in 2018, nothing changed drastically, from the taste of their food to the service, albeit with a little hiccup here and there. Generally, we still highly recommend Milk & Madu as a place to have more than just breakfast and brunch.

One thing we like about Milk & Madu is the vibrant ambience, which hasn’t changed one bit. You cannot see it; you only feel it when you sit there and watch everyone enjoying their meals and conversing. We think this explains why everyone keeps coming to Milk & Madu because they know how the place makes them feel.

With additional cafés in Ubud and Batu Bolong (and soon in Uluwatu), Milk & Madu has consistently delivered quality food and service at value for money. We certainly hope that you give it a try and get ready to come back again!

Hi everyone! My name is Catur, and I was born and raised in Central Java. I moved to Bali in 2011 but left the island in 2016 before returning in 2018. Bali feels more than a home to me, and maybe that’s why my name feels like a premonition. Catur means four, both in the Balinese and Javanese languages. It is spoken like ‘c’ in chess, which is also the meaning of my name in Indonesian.
