Sundari Day Spa: Your Ultimate Sanctuary for Relaxation and Wellness
As one of the best spas in Seminyak, Sundari feels like heaven. The positive energy and relaxing atmosphere radiates loudly from this place. The predominance of warm wood and the yellow lighting chosen looks like a magnet that wants to pull you in. All the heavy negative thoughts you carry from the outside world will feel just shed away the moment you walk in the door.
In terms of prices, depending on what kind of treatment you take, the cost varies from around 350k IDR ‒ 950k IDR (US $22.5 ‒ $61.5 ), which is pretty high compared to other spas in Bali. Even so, considering its location in the heart of Seminyak and the quality of their services, this price honestly makes sense.

All You Need to Know Before Visiting Sundari
Reservations
Online reservation is a must at Sundari Spa, as the place is almost always full every day and you definitely don't want to arrive just to walk out of there again. Plus, doing so is all very easy, as you can choose to contact them directly via WhatsApp or through their website. I tried making reservations both via WhatsApp and the website, and I found the website to be much more convenient! I just had to enter my data (name, date, treatment, and contact details), and voilà! You'll get your billing details.
The Parking Space
They have pretty good space for maybe 2‒3 medium cars and a few motorcycles. However, it's not uncommon for the parking lot to be full and this may give you a hard time. I would suggest that you arrive by Gojek and be dropped off in front of the spa, then head to your treatment directly without having to worry about parking. They also have free pickup in the Seminyak area if you're nearby and your Gojek driver somehow didn't pick up your order.
Welcoming Service
Their attentive staff greeted me very kindly when we arrived, invited me to sit down and brought me a glass of fresh welcome drink and a cold face towel to soothe my skin from the hot sun outside. We really appreciate this kind of detailed gesture, as it looks simple but is exactly what makes someone look forward to coming again.
First Impression
First impressions are everything and I think they won me over. The friendly service from the staff, the instantly calming atmosphere when I walked in, the precision of the massage, all of it. After one visit, I immediately said to myself: I'll be doing this again soon.
Our Experience at Sundari
I chose their deep muscle healing massage, 120 mins for 800k ‒ or around 51 US dollars. This is a bit pricey compared to other spas in Bali but, hey, quality comes with value. The techniques performed in this type of massage combine deep therapeutic massage with light stretching of the joints to reduce deep-rooted muscle tension while increasing flexibility. This was exactly what I needed. In general, however, their massage technique is a combination of modern and traditional Sundari inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. They gave me a nice, warm tea after the treatment too! What a great way to end my pampering session. I've never even felt 120 minutes go by so quickly because of how good and relaxed it was. Plus, after the treatment I felt as light as a feather.
What We Like and What We Don't
What We Like
The interior and vibe of this place is incredible. Everything they've chosen to put here really helps you feel relaxed without you even having to try.
The welcoming service and the little gestures they gave really got to me. Cold face towels and soothing drinks really switch your mood to a good one. Especially since it's always hot outside.
The treatment room is really a room. Okay, facts, there are many spas where the room is just one square space with many beds in between separated only by a curtain. This is different though, as the room is all yours.
You can choose your own massage oil. This is a plus point. I mean, who knows if you'll be in the mood for the basic lavender or a fresh, sweet orange scent?
The treatment is crazy good. The therapist knows what they’re doing. Every touch, every movement, is meticulously executed.
What We Don't
The price is slightly more expensive than the average spa. Before deciding to come visit a certain spa, of course, we want to compare the prices first. This is where I think their prices are slightly higher than other spas around. But I tried it anyway and it was worth it!
Limited parking space. Being on the side of the main Seminyak‒Canggu road and having a small parking lot made it difficult for me when I arrived, especially since the road was often jammed, and I had to quickly find a gap to park.
Replies on WhatsApp are a bit slow. Whether this is because they happen to be busy at the time or for some other reason, it's a small thing that I'm sure can be improved easily.

Expert Opinion About Sundari Spa
No wonder they were awarded Unique Spa of the Year twice by Luxury Travel Guide. This place is indeed unique. The colour selection for the furniture, lighting and walls, together with all the interior aspects are quite distinctive and luxurious, but at the same time achieves a calm and soothing feeling.
Their location right on the main road of the Seminyak‒Canggu area also makes this place quite easy to find, so you won't get lost with maps that can sometimes go wrong (speaking from personal experience).
Anyway, the point is, I can't recommend Sundari enough. Sundari Spa is the place to go if you really want to spend a bit more money to get the maximum treatment quality. You seriously need to put them on your bucket-list if you require a relaxing magic touch. Wishing you a blissful spa day!
