The Balinese massage had the perfect pressure, while the Exotic Bamboo Massage, featuring bamboo soaked in essential oils, was incredibly relaxing.
With its Hindu temple-inspired decor, Serayu Spa offers a peaceful, almost sacred atmosphere. After our treatments, we were so relaxed that we even drifted off to sleep for a few minutes. All You Need to Know Before Coming to Serayu Spa
The Reservation
We recommend making a reservation in advance; you can send them a WhatsApp text or call the landline. The process takes a few minutes, especially if you already know what treatments you want. They will give you the menu during the booking process; just show the booking confirmation when entering the Kayon Jungle Resort area.
The Parking Space
Since Serayu Spa is located on the same property as The Kayon Jungle Resort, finding a parking spot is not a big problem. Refreshingly, everything is quite organised and in order.
Welcoming Service
The first thing they gave us was hot ginger tea with cookies and a cool towel, which we appreciated after beating the traffic to Serayu Spa. After choosing the oil, we proceeded to the feet-washing treatment. The welcoming service promised us that our day of recharge and relaxation in Ubud would be magical.

Everything about Serayu Spa really blew us away from the first moment we stepped into the building. Moreover, before the treatment started, we knew that something special was happening, so we also took some key notes about Serayu Spa.
What We Like
The setting of Serayu Spa. We couldn't help but wonder about the process of building this place as every corner is considered, including the decision to place the spa close to the Petanu River, which adds an extra positive for Serayu Spa.
The various packages and offers at Serayu Spa. Each package is carefully curated to target specific customers, which proved to us that they have customer satisfaction in mind, as every customer has different needs.
The variety of treatments! They certainly put in their best efforts to create treatments that are not only targeted at the specific needs of the customers but also use the best natural ingredients.
The skillful therapists. The therapists at Serayu Spa are certainly qualified because the way they place pressure on the body is just right: not too strong, but not too weak as well.
The spacious parking. Since many establishments in Ubud don't have proper parking spots, it was a relief to know that we didn't have to think hard about where to park.
What We Don't
The price is slightly more expensive. We understand that we pay for quality, and the spa may be seeking to cater to a specific clientele, but if it was more affordable then more people would get the chance to experience Serayu Spa and all its greatness.
The length of the treatments. Though it sounded tempting to spend a day pampering yourself, the combination of some treatments in their packages can be a bit too long for some.
The location is a bit tricky to find. Located at the back of Ubud's main road, Serayu Spa can be a bit challenging for some people to find.

After spending a few hours here, we could all agree that Serayu Spa is one of the most luxurious spas in Bali and a bit of an underrated gem of a wellness destination in Ubud. The combination of the stunning setting with the highly skillful therapists and the variety of treatments has made us fall madly in love with Serayu Spa.
The price might be on the expensive side, but every cent we spent there was definitely worth the experience. The various offers they currently have, especially for couples, have made visiting Serayu Spa quite irresistible because you get the same treatments for a lower price. Who doesn't want this, right?
Serayu Spa met all the expectations we had before coming here. The sound of the flowing river and the small waterfalls outside the treatment room made us forget about the traffic and the deadlines. For a few hours, Serayu Spa pampered us in the most extraordinary way.
