*EDIT due to owner response. This review is clearly about YOGA UNION and their service, not the shala itself. I was a legitimate customer of yoga union (interesting that they try and discredit negative reviews though!)* 1/5 Stars – Severe food safety issues, acute illness, and no accountability. I cannot recommend Yoga Union Bali following my attendance at their 50H Yin Yoga TTC in August 2026. Main Concerns: Substandard Food Safety: Meals were served cold or lukewarm with undercooked food (e.g., raw-centred potatoes). It’s unclear how long they’d been sitting out before we were served them. When I became unwell my symptoms were dismissed as \"adjusting to Bali.\" Severe Health Impact: Within 24 hours of eating their provided meals, I developed severe gastroenteritis that progressed to requiring hospital care, an emergency flight home, and ongoing treatment for a parasitic infection at home (I didn’t drink the water, I used hand sanitiser, I’m fit and well. I’ve travelled SE Asia and Bali extensively before with no issue). Refusal to Refund: Despite paying for a catered training that resulted in an incomplete course, hospitalisation and emergency travel home, Yoga Union refused to issue a refund, hiding behind a \"cancellation policy.\" Prospective students should be aware of these poor standards and the lack of support if things go wrong. It’s an expensive and unpleasant experience.

After travelling in Bali for a year, I decided to do this training and it was really an amazing experience. I spent three weeks in the absolutely breathtaking environment. The Shalla Fire in the ricefield was an eye-opened dream every morning while doing my pranayama, and at the end of my practice, this place changed me. forever. At first my difficulty was more in the flexibility, and I was never believing that I would be able to perform the asanas. I thank so much everyone within this school, especially the support team that handled all my inquiries and needs during the training. Thank you YogaUnion forever.

I spent three of the most incredible weeks of my life with YogaUnion Bali as a practitioner of yoga. I saw my practice evolve as I have never seen it before. I thank so much my teachers especially Himanshu. I hope one day I will come back for more training. YogaUnion Bali became my second home .

Even that I was a total beginner I did this training and the support that I receive it was enormous. They help me from the moment that I sent the first email since the time that I finish the training, I believe that the price according to what they give is incredible thanks for everything I will be forever grateful. Yogauion bali my new yoga family.

Hi, Catur here. I’ve been living in Bali for 12 years, and you bet I’ve done all the temple visits and explored Bali’s best beaches and waterfalls. Adding my hospitality background and 13+ years of fiction writing to the mix (four self-published Indonesian books and a 2020 Wattys Award), I’ve shared the local insight about 100+ restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, and beach clubs on the island, because I want you to get the best experience!
