  • Best Breakfast in Canggu

  • 1. Acme

Another must-visit in Canggu for coffee pals, ACME is well known for its house-roasted specialty beans and artisan bakery. The place is cozy and chic with natural light coming in abundantly through the windows. The colors used are all earth-tones, without excessive accents that make every corner Insta-worthy. The place is spacious, with a co-working space available on the second floor as well.

If you want something light, you can always go for the croissant, pain au chocolat, cinnamon roll, almond croissant or toast. If you're ready for something more hearty, you can move on to their lox & schmear, made with Jerusalem bagel, housecured salmon, cream cheese, boiled egg, pickles, capers, dill and lemon. Oh dear of course, don't skip a cup of coffee with your preferred meal!

    Detailed info about Acme

    • Where: Jl. Nelayan No.28, Canggu

    • Average Price: Around $5 – 8 for 1 main food & drink

    • My Order: Poached Sumac Egg on toasted focaccia + Berries Blitz smoothie — Pstt.. It’s a bomb combo.

    • Why I love it: Their pastries are baked fresh daily, that’s essential to me — and their smoothies, coffee? Chef’s kiss!

  • 2. Copenhagen

I'm sure my dear readers know that Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, and yes, this is what the cafe is about — serving the Nordic-inspired all-day brunch, sweet, savory, and simply delish. Nestled in the vibrant area of Bali, this gem will instantly charm you with its warm & inviting tropical atmosphere.

Due to the fact that it's right off the main road, finding this cafe is not a challenge. However, do note that the cafe area is quite small (and packed! It’s one of the most popular breakfast places in Canggu!), make sure you arrive early to get a spot. Once you're seated, enjoy a bunch of delights like the crumbed white fish, kartoffel, chicken slaw, salads, and others. If you can't find what you want, they know how to keep you happy — they have a 'build your own feast' concept, where you can combine their baked options with dairy products, proteins, greens, and fruits; it's a win-win!

    Detailed info about Copenhagen

    • Where: Jl. Padang Linjong No.71A, Canggu

    • Average Price: Around $5 – 8

    • My Order: I picked the “create your own breakfast” which includes sourdough toast, smashed avo, and smoked salmon + iced latte.

    • Why I love it: The breakfast concept! Also, the place is super Insta-worthy with a clean and cozy Scandinavian decor (though a bit small).

  • 3. Brekky

Located in the heart of Perenan, Brekky is a cozy and inviting cafe, with every corner looking aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Not too crowded, the interior itself looks minimalist with cream painted walls, wooden tables and chairs, and some indoor plants as the finishing touch. This is one of the best cafes in Canggu if you’re into that ‘slow-paced brunch’.

Brekky is famous for its brunch menu that's all delicious. Everything is made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their crowd pleaser features truffle eggs, and traditional syrniki — trust me, you have to check this out! If you're a matcha fan, don't skip pairing your meal with their Japanese kazu matcha (my pick: the iced one).

    Detailed info about Brekky

    • Where: Jl. Bumbak Dauh No.57, Umalas

    • Average Price: Around $5 – 8

    • My Order: 62°C Oil Poached Salmon + Flat White.

    • Why I love it: Great selection of breakfast menu options and aesthetically pleasing ambiance — perfect for my insta-story snap.

  • How to Spend 100 USD in Canggu?

Let's be real, everyone wants that soft life — spa, brunch, cocktails, and a lil' retail therapy (gotcha!). But don't worry, you can get all that glam without breaking the bank. With a budget of just USD 100, you can enjoy the full Canggu experience that is both fancy and chill. Ready to glow up your day without overspending? Here's how I'd do it:

    ☕️ $12 — Breakfast at Copenhagen

🧘‍♀️ $17 — Pilates at The Pilates Project Bali

    💆 $25 — Massage at Maja

🏖️ $10 — Beach club day at Potato Head

🍹 $16 — Sunset cocktails at La Brisa

    🍽️ $20 — Dinner at Mason

  • Best Coffee Spots in Canggu

  • 4. Revolver

When it comes to specialty espressos and boutique bean brands, Revolver is the OG! This tardis of a café, tucked down a little laneway in central Seminyak, serves very good coffee with surroundings that transport you to 1980s New York.

Of course, coffee is the main star here, they offer the best coffee in the neighborhood. From the classics: espresso, long black, flat white, latte, and cappuccino, to unique ones like Bulletproof Coffee, which is a blend of long black, MCT oil, grass-fed ghee, and cinnamon. No matter what your coffee choice is, don't miss out on some of their interesting menu items like the truffle mushroom hash, chicken cotoletta, or Nashville hot chicken sandwich if you like it a bit spicy.

    Detailed info about Revolver

    • Where: Jl. Nelayan No.5, Canggu

    • Average Price: Around $5 – 8

    • Milk Options: Regular milk, soy milk, almond milk, and oat milk.

    • Why I love it: They have the GREATEST coffee selections, DUH! Oh yes, a great spot to hang out with besties too.

  • 5. Satu Satu

Satu Satu in Berawa was founded in honor of the Sudana family, who have been producing high-quality coffee since 1985. Fun fact: they have family-owned coffee plantations in some areas in Bali, and have traditionally grown coffee in a natural manner. Plus, they only employ traditional Balinese methods to provide the highest quality organic coffee with excellent freshness and flavor.

Great coffee (Um, actually: the BEST coffee in Canggu, too!), great service, great ambiance are the things that make this place packed. The food portions are fairly large too! Take your pick from the salty ones like rolled salmon, grilled pork karbonat, and egg benedict, or go for the sweet ones like fluffy pancakes with greek yogurt, banana bread, or croissants. Canggu brunch made perfect!

    Detailed info about Satu Satu

    • Where: Jl. Pantai Berawa No.36, Canggu

    • Average Price: Around $3 – 8

    • Milk Options: Fresh milk, coconut milk, almond milk, and oat milk.

    • Why I love it: Good selection of breakfast and lunch, nice setting for brunch and even remote working (This is essential for me too).

    Author's Notes: What's Coffee Raves?

Sounds strange? Okay, let your girl explain it to you. A coffee rave is not your typical rave party (which is usually nighttime and alcohol-fueled). It's a morning party without alcohol, and the driving force is... coffee! Think rave party — but healthy and early in the morning (typically happens at 10 AM and lasts until 1 PM). Great music, fun dancing and vibes, but what you're holding is an oat latte, not a cocktail. Wanna see how it went down? Take a peek here — and this is where you can join the party: Mystic Coffee, Le Spot, Sozd.

  • Top Pastries & Baked Goods

  • 6. BAKED

Baked is an entirely bakery-focused cafe, as the owners know very well how important it is to get freshly baked bread and pastries to kickstart your day. You can literally get everything for your bread essentials — sourdough, baguettes, focaccia, bagels, white toast, pretzels, pastries like croissants, pain au chocolat, biscuits, cookies, and more.

The cafe concept of Baked is chic, modern, and clean, with the dominant use of white paint. This combination of cozy ambiance with the aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air and is truly appetizing. All day long, you can tuck into some of their fresh pasties and Korean honey toast paired with coffee or the hearty meat pies and salmon bagels if you are more of a savory eater.

    Detailed info about BAKED

    • Where: Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.118, Pererenan

    • Average Price: $3–6 per pastry, $8–10 with coffee

    • What to Try: Almond croissant, kouign-amann, or their pistachio twist

    • Why I love it: Buttery smell hits you at the door, the croissants flake perfectly, and they warm them up on request. Ideal morning spot before the heat kicks in.

  • 7. 7 AM Bakers

The name alone should tell you that this is the place to grab a hearty breakfast in Canggu early in the morning. And just like its very name, this famous Canggu cafe is open from 7 AM to 6 PM. Featuring a cozy second floor with leather sofas on the inside, giving you numerous sitting options.

The diverse viennoiseries are crowd-pleaser, you name it! Croissants, croffin, crookie, chocolatine, madeline, danish, canelé, muffins, apple turnovers, and so much more to get. People come for the combination of coffee and pastries, but 7AM also has a wide selection of lunch and dessert menus. Oh, and while you're here, why not grab some bread essentials to take home?

Detailed info about 7 AM Bakers

  • 9. The Avocado Factory

Fellow avocado lover, put this cafe on your Canggu bucket list ASAP because I'm sure you won't want to miss this. The Avocado Factory is the first Avocado Bar in South-East Asia! Another plus point is that they source all their avocados from local farmers.

Their all-day dining features a wide selection of scrumptious & delicious avo-based dishes, be it toast, pancakes, smoothies, burgers, salads, and so much more. Having both indoor and outdoor areas, the interior is chic with a relaxed ambiance featuring glass walls — making the atmosphere feel cozier with plenty of natural light coming in.

Detailed info about The Avocado Factory

    • Where: Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan, Canggu

    • Average Price: Around $5 – 9

    • My Order: Roasted Honey Chicken + Avo-coco Dream Smoothies

    • Why I love it: I really like avocado, whatever I do with it, I'll always love it. And here, they turn it into unique menus that none of them fail!

  • 10. Secret Spot

This place is a gem and the best brunch spot for vegan pals! Secret Spot is a cute small cafe right on the side of the road. They have two branches, in Berawa and Canggu. There's nothing too striking from the outside other than the fact that many people come in and out with cups in their hands.

This place is simply aesthetic — plain white all over the walls with warm accents from the wooden furniture, and some plants that make the place look alive. Secret Spot is proof that vegan food can be crazy delicious! You can fill up on some incredible waffles, smoothie bowls, pancakes, hummus, lasagna, ravioliraw dishes, and so much more!

    Detailed info about Secret Spot

    • Where: Jl. Tanah Barak No.7, Canggu

    • Average Price: Around $3 – 5

    • My Order: Triple Berry Pancakes + Matcha Latte

    • Why I love it: The place is really cozy, even though it's not too big. This is the kind of place that's quiet enough for a brunch while doing some remote work.

Many would agree that this is one of the best breakfast cafes in Canggu. This place is always buzzing with the Canggu hotties — maybe it's the on-site boutique, the great music soundtrack, or perhaps it's the fact that all the food is so freakin' good.

This industrial chic cafe is actually not that big, but from morning to noon, you'll always see it packed. Yep, you must remember one legendary dish that became the icon of Brunch Club: Porncake. This place is often named the best pancakes in town by both locals and tourists. This cute cafe serves an array of brunch dishes and cocktails with a rice field view.

The Brunch Club offers everything from giant-sized burgers, buttermilk waffles, French toast, green salads to buttery eggs Benedict with a Melbourne café flair and hints to Bali culture. But most people come for their world-famous fluffy pancakes, Porncakes. Kids love them, just don’t tell them what they’re called! • What do you need to know as parent in Bali

Let's be real — grabbing a nice coffee with kids can sometimes be a challenge. But in Bali, especially in Canggu, the vibe is different. There are so many kid-friendly cafes that understand what parents need. From super friendly staff who don't hesitate to help watch your little ones for a while, to perks like kids corner, coloring books, high chairs, and a kids menu that goes beyond chicken nuggets! My recommendation? Milk & Madu.
