If you're one of those “cheese is everything” kind of souls, then Brie Restaurant & Cheesery in Ubud is a must-visit destination, babe! This place is not just another restaurant — they have their own cheesery inside the restaurant!  Imagine fresh milk from their farm in Java being processed into cheese in less than 12 hours. If you come around 5 – 6 PM, you can even get a glimpse of the cheese-making process. The interior is artistic and cozy, with touches of wood and natural elements that make you want to stick around. The daytime is ripe for a leisurely brunch, while the evening turns romantic with warm lighting and lounge music — sweet!

Reservation

Reservations at Brie can be made via WhatsApp, which is listed on their Instagram bio. The responses were quick, friendly, and informative. We were given a choice of arrival time and also directed to special requests like our favorite seating area or menu details.

Parking

For motorbikes, it is quite easy as they have a special area in front of the restaurant, but for cars, it's a bit limited. Usually, visitors park on the side of the road or in the surrounding area that can still be reached on foot. But don’t worry, though. Their security staff will help direct and guard vehicles.

Service

The service is one of the most appreciated. The staff are very well-trained and know the details of each menu, especially their homemade cheeses. They were not only prompt and polite, but also proactive in explaining the story behind the food we ordered. We felt very cared for without feeling supervised — just perfect.

Brie is different. Not just because they specialize in cheese — but because they make their own cheese on the spot. They literally have a cheesery inside the restaurant, and if you come during certain hours (around 5 – 6 PM), you can see the whole process from fresh milk to ready-to-eat cheese. What makes us love it even more is that Brie manages to combine the concept of fine dining and casual dining in one place. Not intimidating, but still elegant. The food is high quality, but the vibe remains friendly, cozy and warm.

What a fantastic Italian restaurant. Loved the Burrata, the Pesto Pizza which is a lovely twist done by them and also the general vibe of the place. Lovely service by Tude and Hoky, really enjoyed it!
