Livingstone Holyground
Livingstone Holyground Ubud has quickly become a favorite for breakfast, brunch, and everything in between. We stopped by for an honest review and found the perfect mix of cozy vibes, great coffee, and a menu packed with fresh pastries and treats like their famous crème brûlée cheesecake.
Whether you’re here to work, relax, or bring the family (the outdoor garden and kids' playground are a hit!), this spot has something for everyone. It’s more spacious than most cafes in Ubud, giving you plenty of room to enjoy your meal indoors or out in the breeze.

The Parking Space
The parking spaces at Livingstone Holyground are suitable for both motorbikes and cars. You don't have to worry about finding a parking spot even just to grab a coffee in Ubud, as they are usually available.

First Impression
One of the most obvious things about Livingstone Holyground is that you can easily spend a whole day here, whether working or just casually enjoying all the cakes and coffee. The outdoor garden leaves a lasting impression on us because it gives a soothing ambience, making it a perfect corner in Livingstone Holyground to chill.

A Family-Friendly Café
As a café and bakery in Ubud, Livingstone Holyground doesn’t leave out any family members when considering how its visitors will enjoy the space. The kids’ menu, the mini playground, and the garden area will entertain any kids, as they can play and have meals at the same time.

What We Like and What We Don't
There were many things about Livingstone Holyground that we enjoyed, yet some aspects can still be improved to make the experience truly flawless.

What We Like
Livingstone Holyground is extremely spacious for a café. If we had not explored it, we wouldn't have known there was a swimming pool and meeting space in the back. Truly, it's rare to find a big place like this in the heart of Ubud.
Variety of menu and some of their signature dishes and drinks. The dishes at Livingstone Holyground are extraordinary, with certain signature dishes and drinks contributing to the customer's excellent dining experience.
Value for money and portion. The menu price and the portions are justified. It falls into the middle pricing; not too expensive or cheap.
The coffee and Livingstone's house blend. Not every café can claim to make its own coffee blends, but the coffee at Livingstone Holyground is certainly among the best in Bali.
The kids' playground is a great addition to an already great location! Livingstone Holyground is really a family-friendly place, and you don't need to worry about taking your kids here, as there are spaces for them to play in.
What We Don't
The service can be a little slow. This applies if you visit in a group, as the food rarely arrives at the same time.
There are limited alcoholic options. The only alcoholic drinks available are beers. Since they are open until 10 PM and there is a chance that people will come for dinner, we believe that more variety would attract more people to experience this enticing night scene.
There is a lack of electric power. We also noticed this at Livingstone Petitenget, as there are selected seats where the power is available but some without. Although this is not a major issue, it would be helpful to provide power at more tables.

How can you evaluate

Hi everyone! My name is Catur, and I was born and raised in Central Java. I moved to Bali in 2011 but left the island in 2016 before returning in 2018. Bali feels more than a home to me, and maybe that’s why my name feels like a premonition. Catur means four, both in the Balinese and Javanese languages. It is spoken like ‘c’ in chess, which is also the meaning of my name in Indonesian.
