All You Need to Know Before Coming to La Baracca
Reservation
Though it is possible to do a walk-in, we advise you to make a reservation if you want to secure a table for a nice evening dining at La Baracca, Bali. You can also book a table via Chope or contact them directly on WhatsApp. You don't need to wait; their response comes quickly after sending a message.
The Parking Space
The parking space at La Baracca is quite spacious even when you arrive by car. During the day, the big tree at the parking lot acts as a roof to keep your motorbike seat from getting hot! We really appreciate this little detail at La Baracca.
Welcoming Service
Once we picked the menu, a few minutes later, we were served complementary sourdough oil and balsamic starters. The act of going the extra mile showed us the grand gesture of the Italian way of treating a guest.
First Impression
When entering La Baracca in Uluwatu, we noticed that the rustic style of the place and its Italian speciality are eclectic on paper but, in reality, they fit the vibe. The semi-outdoor seating in the back feels like a small garden with palm and banana trees decorating the corners. We also appreciate the way La Baracca incorporated the tree into the design in the back garden; something we don't see much in many restaurants in Bali.
What We Like
The pizza and the pasta are buonissimo! Of all the Italian cuisine we have tasted in Bali, the dishes at La Barraca are certainly among the top three.
The rustic design. We loved the quirky furnishings from recycled metals and reclaimed wood, plus the way they incorporated the tree in the back garden. Every part of La Baracca adds distinctive character to the place.
The parking lot. It's a relief to know that they have quite spacious parking for cars and motorbikes, so we didn't have a hard time parking our vehicles. The big and shady tree is just a bonus we appreciate!
The complementary sourdough oil and balsamic starter may have been a small gesture, but we were still surprised by it.
The friendliness of the service staff. We genuinely felt the pride of the service staff for being part of La Baracca, as shown by how they treated us.
What We Don't
The waiting time. We understand how busy a restaurant can be during peak season but, when we were there, the waiting time was a bit longer than we had expected. It didn't affect our experience, but we hope they can do something about it.
The portion. We were still a bit hungry once we finished our food, but we couldn't order anything more. If they add another 10% of their current portion, this would be perfect!
The price is slightly higher. Although the food was excellent, we thought the price we paid and the portion we got were not quite appropriate.

Expert Opinion About La Baracca Pizzeria
In its tenth year in Bali, we all agree that La Baracca has been through the highs and lows of having a restaurant business in Bali. We can appreciate the Italian spirit in keeping the tradition alive by reinventing the family recipe and combining them with the fresh ingredients in Bali. It's definitely not an easy route to take!
We have no further comments about the food; especially the pizza because it was so good! We also admired their decision to keep the cocktail menu classic ‒ we still remember the taste of the Mojito on our lips. If we come back, we will order the other pizza menus because we know they will be otherwordly.
Despite the waiting time and the portion that we believed wasn't appropriately priced, we still highly recommend La Baracca if you want authentic Italian dishes in Bali. With their branches in Canggu, Ubud, and Seminyak, you don't have to drive all the way to Uluwatu to taste their menus.

How can you evaluate La Baracca Pizzeria
Hi everyone! My name is Catur, and I was born and raised in Central Java. I moved to Bali in 2011 but left the island in 2016 before returning in 2018. Bali feels more than a home to me, and maybe that’s why my name feels like a premonition. Catur means four, both in the Balinese and Javanese languages. It is spoken like ‘c’ in chess, which is also the meaning of my name in Indonesian.
