1. Ours Spa Uluwatu

Located in the south of Bali in Uluwatu, Ours Spa is an amazing spa if you want the full royal treatment. It gives you a view of the shores leading to the Indian Ocean, which helps enhance the relaxing settings that they’ve created. Of course, the high-end interior further improves the aesthetics of your surroundings. In my experience, this helps me get into full-on relaxation mode.

To anyone who wants to try out this spa, there’s a whole menu of treatments and services that you can try out. Their wide selection of treatments includes massages, manicures, facial and body treatments, and massage therapies. They also offer hair removal treatments like waxing and threading if you want to look smooth from head to toe as you sunbathe. But my advice? If you want some waxing done, visit Ours Spa a few days before. From what I’ve seen, this will help prevent any bad reaction to seawater.

After getting your treatments done by professionals, I recommend heading to Ours Eatery for lunch or dinner. It’s just a five-minute walk, so you don’t have to be in the sun for long.

Canggu Club is fun if you want to lead a more active life, but it can put some tension on your muscles, too. Good thing there’s a getaway in the Goldust Spa. As someone who needs a lot of pampering, I love that this spa gives me an experience you won’t get with an ordinary body scrub. If you want the best that their team can offer, get the skin care service that turned this into one of the most famous spas in Bali or even the world.

The spa also has an exclusive service called 24k Gold Facial Treatment, which uses real 24k gold on your face to improve your skin condition significantly. Pampering yourself with Goldust surrounded by a laid-back ambience surely means good times!

If you’re looking for something more low-key, you can also choose to book facial treatments like acne or anti-ageing ritual, and other options, such as nail service or oil massage techniques. Clients can also enjoy pampering that doesn’t necessarily target improving the patient’s appearance. Body massage options, like the classic and Balinese massage are my favourites when I feel my neck is a little tense. Their range of services will help you find your serenity.

Best Spa in Bali 2023. Our Author’s Choice

Many people see Bali not just as a tropical paradise but also as a wellness destination. And in my 10 years in Bali, I think this has been proven by how huge the demand is for spa experiences. Even if you’re not really into the wellness craze, having the space for relaxation and refreshment can still be good for your mind, body, and soul.

If you’re still on the fence about what spa center to go to, here are my top recommendations based on their treatments, services, therapists, atmosphere, cleanliness, and value for money.

The Istana Bali, Sundari Day Spa, Amo Spa Canggu.

For me, the best places for a spa treatment offes more than nice music, beautiful interiors, and healing rituals that promise to transform you. More than the results of health and beauty that you’d get from your appointment, I think it should be more centred on what you actually feel in that environment. For example, do you think you’re getting relaxation while you’re getting a massage? Having fitness and wellness-related events like pilates afternoons are also a huge part of the experience.

How much you’ll spend on this wellness retreat depends on the package and services that you’ll get. But on averge, you should expect to spend US $150 in one of the spas I recommended.

Location, facilities, hospitality of the therapist, and quality of the spa products… the list of things that you have to consider when choosing a Balinese spa just goes on forever! So, I hope the information that I provided her for my favourite spas help you find the best one for you. Sometimes, the quality of the service and experience you’re going to get depends on the staff. So, make sure to check out customer reviews as well.

I hope that you enjoy your holiday and have a good spa experience in Bali!
