Local woman performs ritual and pray

This is a celebration for the locals to welcome in the lunar new year. It’s the island’s most peaceful day. Nothing happens on the island after 6 o’clock in the morning. Furthermore, not a single pedestrian or tourist is visible on the roads. Hence, for some, this festival represents a period of total calm and contemplation.
