Best Malls in Bali

By Putri, 19.01.2024

A commercial shopping centre is the last place you would think of visiting on your trip to Bali. It is, after all, a haven for temples, handicrafts, and a long, hard look at your lifestyle! But here is a counterargument, bearing in mind that most of you readers can’t bargain! Going to a mall instead of a bazaar will keep you from the crowd, land you the best products, and you can have a spa day afterwards.

Mall Bali overview

Doesn’t that sound like a day in paradise? It is! From groceries and homewares to other purchases, this is a Bali shopping experience for the ones with no time or bargaining experience.

Kuta Beachwalk Shopping Centre

Kuta Beachwalk is everyone’s favourite shopping centre in Bali, visited by more people than any other. This place has lots of great stores and is close to the beach. You can go shopping and then check out the beautiful sunset, clubs, and nightlife.

Some well-known brands like H&M, Pull & Bear, The Body Shop, Mango, Zara, Pandora, and Marks and Spencer can be found in the large outdoor shopping centre.

2. Discovery Shopping Mall

Discovery Shopping Mall

Discovery Shopping Mall is situated near Kuta Square and offers an abundance of shops, dining options, and recreational areas. Discovery Mall is an excellent destination for spending a couple of hours indulging in shopping. Once you step inside, you will find eateries situated on the ground floor, a sophisticated food court, and an exquisite supermarket on the lower ground floor.

There are many bars and restaurants near the mall that you can easily walk to. The road leading there is small and crowded, especially during busy times. It’s advisable to complete your shopping before heading to a restaurant for dinner, waiting until the traffic improves. You can then take a taxi back to your hotel when there are fewer cars on the road, although it may still be somewhat crowded. There is often heavy traffic. Sephora and an extensive department store named SOGO are the primary attractions drawing people to this mall.

All of your favourite cosmetics and fashion brands can be found here. It’s the perfect place to visit if you want to buy international clothing and cosmetics brands. If you arrive at the right time, they have big sales for well-known brands like Levis, Roxy, and Quiksilver.

Lippo Mall Kuta

A mere 5 minutes from the airport, you can get over 150 international brand outlets available! So, this is the perfect place to visit if you have a long layover or only a day or two in Bali. This is known as the family mall of Bali. Why, you ask? The answer is obvious: there is something for everyone to do.

The kids have a playground smack dab in the middle of the mall. They also have a ball pit to get busy with so the parents can sneak off to do some grocery shopping. Mal Bali Galeria

Mal Bali Galeria is an excellent shopping complex in Bali that offers a wide variety of merchandise for purchase. Although it may not be found in the common tourist hubs, it is still an excellent choice for a visit.

Mal Bali Galeria, also called DFS Galeria, is found on the big road connecting the airport and Seminyak. This mall is very big and has some really helpful stores. Telkomsel has a store on the second floor on the other side of the parking lot. You can go there to buy a SIM card and data plan if you’ve overlooked bringing these.

Expert opinion

I have been living in Bali for ten years, originally coming from a big city, so shopping at the mall is one of the things that I could miss! Fortunately, Bali has a bunch of options for shopping malls and there are great ones to visit. Each one of them is worth visiting and exploring.

So here are my three best selections of malls in Bali:

Beachwalk Kuta, Discovery Mall, and Mal Bali Galeria

The reason I chose these is because of the facilities, the food options, the locations, the vibes and atmosphere, and the clothing and fashion brands. These malls have everything in one place! Also, they all have natural scenery to enjoy, which makes them different from a city mall.

For those having a short vacation in Bali, going to one of these malls will save you time. Malls in Bali will satisfy the shopaholics! Happy shopping and enjoy Bali!
